Christopher Kent studied at Watford School of Art from 1969 to 1970 and then at Bath Academy of Art (Corsham) from 1970 to 1973. He then worked variously as a graphic designer, illustrator and teacher while continuing to practise as a painter and printmaker.

The images shown on the following pages are a representative selection, often from larger groups, and show the various different themes explored by the artist.

The abstract work is grouped chronologically partly for convenience and partly to show how themes and ways of working have evolved over time. The figurative work has been grouped by subject-matter under the Links menu, but shows how much overlap there is with the abstract work, in terms of working methods and subject matter.
