About the artist

Christopher Kent studied at Watford School of Art from 1969 to 1970 and then at Bath Academy of Art (Corsham) from 1970 to 1973. After which, he worked variously as a graphic designer, illustrator and teacher while continuing to practise as a painter and printmaker.

The images shown on the following pages are a representative selection of the artist's work, showing the variety of themes he has explored.

The abstract work is grouped chronologically partly for convenience and partly to show how themes and ways of working have evolved over time. The figurative work is grouped by subject-matter, but still clearly shows how much overlap there is with the abstract work, in terms of working methods and subject matter.
